Even though it’s a prime time to advocate for yoga as an Olympic sport (since there are some Olympics happening right now! and everyone has Olympics on the brain!), USA Yoga, a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of yoga as a competitive sport, has been surprisingly quiet.
Jimmy Kimmel, of all people, put forth an entertaining vision of Olympics style yoga after the last NYC yoga competition in February. It’s almost enough to make me want to see yoga in the Olympics. Almost.
