Jessica Durivage and Diane Ferraro are the voices and creative energy behind the weekly online radio show, Where Is My Guru (WIMG). They joined me for a video interview to talk about their upcoming South By Southwest presentation, Radio-Free Yoga: Self-Realize X Social Enterprise. We also talked about the importance of taking the yoga conversation out of the yoga media sphere and exciting changes on the horizon for WIMG.
The WIMG gals have pulled together Seane Corn, Waylon Lewis of Elephant Journal and filmmaker Vikram Gandhi for a SXSW panel discussion that will “address sticky situations arising from poor online social media manners and how to heighten our collective consciousness as upright citizens of the social media community through the lens of the yamas–the five universally ethical disciplines of yogic philosophy that govern how we interact with others.” Aw yeah! Super exciting to see this kind of discourse in the greater public sphere.
If you aren’t familiar with WIMG and their mission to create dialogue around yoga, leadership, community and service, check out their archives on iTunes. Each show is jam packed with inspiration, fun and good conversation, and held together by the unbridled enthusiasm of the hosts.
And if you’re going to be at SXSW, check out WIMG’s panel presentation on Saturday, March 10, 11:00am – 12:00pm.
