Mid-February is a dark and dreary month in Montreal. Winter feels like it’s been dragging on for years, and spring feels like it’s never going to arrive.

The average Montrealer needs a tropical vacation, but that’s not always possible. The second best option is to bask in the warmth of community and yoga. IAYB sponsor Espace GD – a unique yoga studio, art gallery and dentist’s office located in the hears of Montreal’s gay village – has the perfect event to help us all power through the remaining weeks of winter.

On Saturday, February 22 Espace GD will hold Full Power Yoga, a whole day of inexpensive yoga (all classes are $8), Thai yoga massages and even mini manicures.

The full schedule for the day:

10am Yoga & The Beatles with Nellie Piotrowski. For kids 3 years to 7 years and parents of all ages.
1pm Ashtanga Vinyasa with David Testo
3pm Hatha Flow with Marion Seelback
6pm Yin by Candlelight with Anna Von Frances

Plus 30 minute Thai yoga massages with Darryl Steward ($30), all-day juice bar, mini manis ($10) and angel card readings ($5).
