Sarah Neufeld & Britton Darby perform for their sangha at Moksha Yoga NYC, May 26

While I was visiting New York City last week, I had the opportunity to visit the new Moksha Yoga studio in the West Village and check out the thriving community that has blossomed there since they opened in February.

The whole Moksha network is participating in the seven-week Living Your Moksha Challenge, based on the seven pillars of Moksha Yoga. Last week just happened to be sangha, community, and NYC Moksha-ers celebrated with an evening party. Studio co-owners, Sarah Neufeld (of Arcade Fire) and Britton Darby collaborated on a special performance to inspire and entertain their community.

I talked to Sarah and Britt last fall, while the studio was being built and they candidly expressed their nervousness about undertaking such a big project. Watch the full interview here. It’s exciting to see how Moksha Yoga NYC has grown in such a short amount of time. And next time you’re in NYC, be sure to check out their studio – if you’re lucky, maybe there’ll be a party going on.

  1. Nice video! I truly liked it and also liked reading the blog.

Yes, indeed. They’ve really created a wonderful space there and I had the great joy and honor of offering a mindfulness meditation workshop there last month.

I can not find words to describe how much I love these folks!

    YAY!
