become a warrior for peace: support new leaf yoga foundation

Don’t we all love feeling like warriors? Strong, brave, fearless…

Armed with the tools of yoga and meditation, the New Leaf Yoga Foundation‘s mission is to build peaceful communities from the inside out by empowering youth through yoga. The Toronto-based organization works with young men and women who are creating positive change in their lives, overcoming histories of abuse, neglect, incarceration, gang-involvement, addiction, marginalization and other factors that have led them to be identified as “at risk.”

And now New Leaf needs us all to step up and embrace our warrior spirit. They’re working to raise $30,000 to support their new projects. So far, the organization has managed to raise $27,000 through the generosity of yoga studios in Ontario. They’re reaching out to the wider community to push through the final stretch towards their goal.
