Frank Jude Boccio & Roseanne introducing 21st Century Yoga.

Montrealers came out in full force for the launch of 21st Century Yoga: Culture, Politics & Practice! Contributor Frank Jude Boccio and I did a Q&A-style interview about his essay, Questioning the “Body Beautiful”: Yoga, Commercialism, and Discernment, along with some of the other themes that run through the book. We also discussed the current state of the yoga dialogue in North America and fielded questions from the very attentive and engaged audience. What was supposed to be a 20 minute interview ended up lasting more than 40 minutes. Watch the whole thing in two parts below!

  1. I loved seeing this interview and I am going to buy your book when I finish my comment. Let’s keep the conversations flowing!

  2. Carol Horton says:

Really gratifying to see this! A wonderful conversation. My one complaint is that I would have liked to have seen the audience, too.

  3. Mylène Roy says:

Yé! There is so many things about which I agree, and so many others about which I don’t ! And both delight me as much, cause they fuel interesting reflections and questionings, fed by articulated expressions of yours. It’s invigorating to be ejected from “ready-to-wear” yogic thoughts, and invited to revisit our practice and the social context by which it is colored. Très stimulant. Merci!
